Our world and the podcast industry in it are unpredictable. So, I’m laser focused on simply building a solid foundation. There will be great value in a podcast show and title which can withstand the test of time. And I believe people will still want to enjoy and connect with the concept of not being another cookie cutter podcast.

It’s true. Many people have jumped on the podcasting bandwagon. But I don’t focus on it getting oversaturated. My reasoning is research based. For a host of factors, far fewer podcasts seem to make it beyond the proverbial first mile of the marathon.
Bingeworthy Content
Will it be king in the next decade? I sure hope so since I always dedicate and pride myself in creating high quality content. By content for Time Well Spent, I mean the topics we do, what I say and how, and the special guests we feature on the show.
The title of the show allows for a nice wide range of content. And that my friend is intentional. Look, I know trying to be all things to all people represents a risk. But that is not my goal or wish.
Time Well Spent for All
Selfishly, doing “Binge with Baldrick” is fun for me, too. Starting a podcast is a hobby until it can grow into a business. I’m fully aware of this while putting in the time and effort to plan, produce, and perform on the show. So, if I’m also going to enjoy time well spent, it is going to cover an interesting collection of topics and content.
Why?
Because when you do what you love.. you love what you do. And if I’m doing a podcast I want to be interesting, I’d best be interested in the content myself. So, being Thomas Baldrick, a curious, lifelong learner with Reporter DNA, I enjoy exploring a wide variety of interests. And being a kind and caring fella who has never met a stranger, I love connecting with people, having fun and making a difference in the lives of others.
Therefore, one episode could be entertainment based. Another could be environmental. One show could be about the latest weight loss drugs, while the next could tell you how kids are waiting less to reach puberty. From travel to technology, mental health to the military, and much more.
If “Binge with Baldrick is going to live up to the name, it must be in the “interesting” genre more so than the podcast industry.
