Alaska is unique. It is special for residents and tourists. However, most visit during the summer season and for good reason. The Alaska Winter is not for the feint of heart. Still, that is when I’m going.

Alaska Winter 2 Bucket List Trip

Since he was a little boy, Thomas Baldrick had his sights on bucket list items. The biggest, longest, and toughest goal was getting to see all 50 of the United States of America. He has been anxiously waiting at having reached 49 states for over 5 years. Whereas, he had been stuck at 48 states since nearly 20 years ago. However, he and his son enjoyed a summertime visit to Montana. Fulfilling this dream with the largest state will not just be cold, it will be super cool.

Why go during the brutal Alaska Winter? Because you cannot witness the Northern Lights, the Aurora Borealis in summer. This was another item on Baldrick’s bucket list. It is a two for one special so to speak. Yet, it does come at a price. Temperatures in the Fairbanks area are expected to be as low as 35 degrees below zero fahrenheit.
