I must have missed the production services memo. Perhaps I was locked in writing a script. Or maybe the name Thomas Baldrick wasn’t on the memo’s distribution list. No worries. I might have been busy with a video production.
The memo and subject I am referencing is the current mindset where having one tailored skill is best for one position. Today it seems artificial intelligence or a real person might prefer that. Resumes must be AI friendly just to pass the initial stage of digital gatekeeping.
One trick ponies don’t ride far in most successful businesses either. Take yours for instance. Aren’t you and your company looking to grow and expand?
Therefore, it makes sense to work with a multi-skilled creative professional like me. I understand and think along those same lines. My hope is you agree because personally and professionally I deliver value in helping you with an array of production services.

I love creativity so much it’s like I think and breathe it. This explains why I say, “I do YES.” A white board doesn’t intimidate me. I find clean slates to be intriguing, thought-provoking and stimulating.
You’ll find my creative approach is like driving with GPS. While there is a desired destination or goal, we often have viable alternatives for reaching it safely. There could also be reasons for twists and turns, some completely unwelcomed or unexpected. It is important to remain calm, open-minded and flexible so we can easily adapt when we know it is best.
In television, I’ve been successful working for networks airing a variety of shows. Pharmaceutical companies with pipelines of drugs have hired me for various creative roles. Smaller businesses and Non-profit organizations across very different niches have regularly hired me. Plus, they have had me using multiple skills in providing one task or delivering on one project or live event.
Developing Ideas

Sometimes, you know you want or need to do SOMETHING. I’m a proven and passionate “Idea Guy” with no off switch. I’ll come up with creative options and ways to execute them.
You might need to tell a strong story to promote a new product launch. I’m a proven and passionate “Idea Guy” with no off switch. I’ll find the right people and help them perfectly deliver the highly effective messaging you want in the format you want to reach your target audience.
Other times, you could have an important event such as a national sales meeting. I’ll assist and add to your team by helping with planning and production. You can never have enough creative ways to set the tone for an event. My expectation is to exceed yours by making the big moment successful, enjoyable, and memorable. Did I mention, I’m a proven and passionate “Idea Guy” with no off switch?
Writing
The subject of writing is one of the great loves or hates for many people. Many dislike it because they find it boring or not their best use of time. Some struggle and get easily frustrated. Meanwhile others would simply rather be doing something else.
Yet for me it is a slam dunk. I love to write. Scripts for 30-second commercials, public service announcements, or video shorts are a fun challenge. This is because you must make every word and every second count in a very limited time frame.
Long form projects like documentaries, live event programs, and executive speeches with PowerPoint presentations are also fun. The challenges here are in gathering and prioritizing the right information. Then comes selecting what stays and what goes and how it all flows.
Video Production

Here we could accurately do one of those common social media status updates about me. “In a Relationship with Camera.” This beautiful relationship began with me behind the television camera. I loved it. Then, I added work appearing in front of a television camera as a reporter then a host. Later, I entered the same kind of relationship with cameras for corporate video production.
Next, came the biggest surprises of all.
I took what I learned working with great camera crews and applied to shooting some video projects myself. These include shooting with a big boy video camera on my shoulder or mounted on a tripod. For social media projects, I can often get everything done as needed with my trusty iPhone. Remember, it’s not just about the physical camera. Knowing how to use it to best tell the story is the big picture.
Naturally, putting myself in the pilot’s seat for video editing completed the creative circle. This transition came after spending years as a co-pilot. Physically sitting next to an editor who punched all the buttons is one thing. I mostly enjoyed the creative collaboration and learned from some amazing video editors. However, learning how to be a solo pilot in non-linear video editing was another basically mind-blowing experience for me.
I took an extensive course on Apple’s Final Cut Pro software. I still use this video editing program today with awe and gratitude.
Podcasting
This relationship began because audio has always interested me. Audio is just “different” than video. I love them both as outlets for communication and creativity.
My experience in radio sparked a passion for podcasting. I’ve written radio commercials and public service announcements. Plus, I enjoyed being a guest and host on radio stations.
Podcasting was something I wanted to learn.
My first venture was “The Rocky Point Podcast.” This exploratory show was for a specific audience of people who visit tiny Puerto Peñasco, Sonora.
Today, I am excited about launching my “Time Well Spent” podcast. I’m also exploring talks with helping others bring their own custom podcast to reality. And of course, I’ll gladly do the same for you.
Live Events
There is no adrenaline rush for me like live events. I love everything about it. In television, I have enjoyed work on live coverage of television sports, news, community, and entertainment programming.
They can also put on some pretty impressive shows in the corporate setting. In this market I have loved being part of the excitement in producing big time national company meetings either live in person or live via satellite.
I’ll admit. Perhaps my favorite role is producing and anchoring live on stage newscasts for large corporations at their company gatherings. The reinforcing of key messaging delivered in an exciting and really fun way makes it a “win win” scenario every time.
